Grapple, control, and release another character in combat.
grapple
grapple <target>
Try to grab a target. Alias: grab.
Someone who trusts you to grapple (@trust <you> to grapple) does not fight it. You take hold of them at once and no combat starts. Nothing you do in the hold hurts them. When you walk, they come with you. They pull free with resist, and you let go with letgo. If you attack them, you let go first.
press
press
Try to improve your position: from a clinch to control, and from control to a submission.
counter
counter
Try to turn the hold around and take the top.
escape
escape
Try to break out of the hold. Aliases: resist, struggle, break free.
gstrike
gstrike
Strike the character that you are grappling. While you are in a hold, strike does the same.
ghold
ghold
Hold your position and do nothing else. On top it pins them. Underneath it covers you up.
gchoke
gchoke or choke
Tighten your submission: a choke or a joint lock.
toss
toss [direction]
Throw a grappled character down where you stand, or through the exit in that direction. While you are in a hold, throw [direction] does the same.
pull apart
pull apart <name>
Haul at a hold you are not in, to loosen it. Name either of the two. Alias: break up. A hold both sides agreed to is left alone.
gpos
gpos
Show the hold you are in and the words you can use in it.
letgo
letgo
Release your grip.
