Short puzzles that open a device without a fight.
breach
use <device>, then breach, parley or hunt
A device behind a firewall lists breach in its menu. One guarded by a daemon that plays lists parley, and one blocked by a rogue program lists hunt. Win and the device lets you in.
override
use <panel>, then override
A lock panel with a code you do not have lists override. Crack the code and the bolt draws back. A game you lose, or leave after your first move, counts against the panel, and three stop it for a while.
playing
At a puzzle's prompt, type a move, help for the rules, or b to leave. A line that is not a move costs nothing.
Tumblers: type the digits of a guess. Each answer says how many digits are set (in the right place) and how many are loose (in the wrong place).
Static: tune <channel> listens on one channel, and sweep listens across the band. A stronger signal is closer.
Firewall: type a cell like b2 to flip it and the cells next to it. hint names a cell, if you have one.
Burst: type each key before the time runs out. Two strikes and the link drops.
Parley: type a stack and a number, like b 2, to take that many packets from it. Whoever takes the last packet wins, unless the rules say it loses.
Hunt: probe c shows how many hops node c is from the program. trap f sets a trap on node f.
A better Systems skill gives you more tries, steps, moves, probes or seconds.
practice
A deck simulator in a bar or a shop lets anyone practise. use <simulator>, pick a game and a level, and read the best scores with scores.
For routing to a device, see help abzu.
