In the game: help workstation Also ws workstations recompile defrag port loaddrv unloaddrv
Work on a Sprite at a Workstation in Nous.
ws lists the bays and cartridges. The other commands act on the cartridge
in the work bay.
scan
ws scan
Read the Sprite: what it is, how its axes fall out, and what it is worth.
recompile
ws recompile
ws recompile <build>
List the builds, or change to one after a confirmation. A weak result can
leave the Sprite worse. Once compiled, a Sprite needs time before the next
compile.
defrag
ws defrag
Restore a damaged Sprite to full integrity.
port
ws port
Port the Sprite to the blank cartridge in the destination bay. A failed port
leaves it in the work bay.
drivers
ws loaddrv <driver>
ws unloaddrv <driver>
Install a Driver that is in your inventory, or remove one that is installed on
a Sprite. Each Driver raises one of the Sprite's stats. A cheap cart can run
one Driver, a standard cart two, a premium cart three.
rename
ws rename <name>
ws rename
Name your Sprite. Its kernel stays in brackets after the name, so a name
cannot hold brackets or a kernel's name. With no name, it gets back the name
it was born with.
describe
ws describe <text>
ws describe
Write how your Sprite looks. With no text, it gets back the description it
was born with.
slot
ws slot <cartridge>
ws unslot [<cartridge>]
Put a cartridge in, or take it out. With no cartridge named, unslot takes
them all out.
The direct verbs, such as recompile <cartridge> as <build>, still work.
