TOKENS GUIDE / HELP / ROLEPLAY / TOKENS In play: help tokens. Also tease tokens, pronoun tokens, targeting tokens.Substitution tokens dynamically insert names and pronouns into room poses, tease lines, garment descriptions, body-part descriptions, and your general description.
Garment action grammar
New garment action messages must contain $N or $n and at least one .verb marker. The marker removes its dot and conjugates for the reader:
$N .draw $p $I close.
You read: You draw your coat close.
Others read: Your Name draws their coat close.Natural first-person text such as I draw my coat close and unmarked text such as $N draws $p coat close are refused because they cannot resolve consistently for every audience.
Write $$ for one literal dollar sign. Inserted names and garment text are treated as text, never as more token syntax.
Actor tokens
$N / $n: Character name. Use $N to open a sentence (the wearer reads "You") and $n mid-sentence ("you", and a leading "A" or "The" in lower case). A name keeps its own capitals either way, and a short description reads as written, lower case even at the start of a line, as it does in emotes. In garment, makeup, body-part (@naked), general-description (@setdesc), and room-pose lines this is how the viewer knows the wearer: their short description until introduced, then their recognized name, and hidden while they are masked or disguised.
$P / $p: Possessive pronoun (His, Her, Their / his, her, their).
$S / $s: Subject pronoun (He, She, They / he, she, they).
$O / $o: Object pronoun (Him, Her, Them / him, her, them).
$X / $x: Reflexive pronoun (Himself, Herself, Themself / himself, herself, themself).Target Tokens (Tease and Interactions)
$T / $t: Target name, "you" to the target. A name keeps its own capitals; $t also lowers a leading "A" or "The".
$R / $r: Target possessive (His, Her, Their / his, her, their).
$U / $u: Target subject pronoun (He, She, They / he, she, they).
$H / $h: Target object pronoun (Him, Her, Them / him, her, them).Target tokens work only in a garment's interaction message. If that message uses one, use tease <garment> at <person>. Put-on, take-off, appearance-switch, and worn-description fields refuse target tokens.
Item Tokens
$I / $i: Item name (capitalized / lowercase), as the viewer sees it. In garment lines it names the worn item itself.
Field scopes
Worn appearance A/B: $N, $P, $S, $O, $X, $I. No target tokens and no .verb.
Put on / take off: $N, $P, $S, $O, $X, $I, and .verb.
Interaction: actor, item, target tokens, and .verb.
A to B / B to A: $N, $P, $S, $O, $X, $I, and .verb.For roleplay posing, see help roleplaying.
