Hitch a trailer, hook a vehicle to a wrecker, and pull a stuck vehicle free.
hitch
hitch <trailer> to <vehicle>
hitch <trailer>
Couple a trailer behind a vehicle that can pull it. Neither can be running, and the load has to be within what the vehicle can pull. The trailer goes where the vehicle goes. With no vehicle named, it is the one beside you that can pull.
Example: hitch dray to hauler
tow
tow <vehicle> with <wrecker>
tow <vehicle>
Hook a wreck, or a vehicle you are allowed to work on, to a wrecker. It is dragged behind and cannot be driven.
unhitch
unhitch <vehicle>
unhitch
Let go of a trailer, or of a hooked vehicle. Name either one of the pair.
strap
strap <vehicle> to <lowboy>
strap <vehicle>
Strap a stopped vehicle down on a lowboy. It goes wherever the lowboy goes, cannot be driven, and counts in the lowboy's weight. A lowboy carries only so much.
unstrap
unstrap <vehicle>
unstrap
Take a vehicle off a lowboy. Name either one of the pair.
recover
recover <vehicle> with <wrecker>
Pull a stuck vehicle free with the wrecker's winch. A vehicle that is heavier than the wrecker can pull stays where it is.
A cistern is a trailer that holds fuel. Fill it at a station with refuel cistern, then fill a tank beside it with refuel <vehicle> with cistern.
Soft ground can hold a vehicle. Driving again is a try at getting out. A crawler on tracks sinks the least and a bike the next least.
For a vehicle that will not drive, see help mechanics.
For driving, see help vehicles.
