Build furniture at a workbench, and use it.

The workbench menu groups the designs: seating, beds, tables, storage, cold and secure storage, display, and clinic pieces. craft show <design> lists the parts of one. Some designs offer extras to choose before you build, such as padding, springs, a lock, casters, hinges, a glass front, an inlay, a lining, or a false bottom. The plan screen offers them under Add or drop fittings. Some designs and extras need a part of a private workshop, such as a bench vise or a glazing table. The menu says which part is missing.

Furniture weighs what it is made of. A big piece takes more than one pair of hands to move. Wheels take most of the weight off a team.

fold

fold <furniture>
unfold <furniture>

Fold a piece with hinges flat so that you can carry it, or open it again. No one can be using it, nothing can be on it or in it, and it must not be installed. Nobody can sit on a folded piece or put anything in it.

comfort

A soft seat or bed helps you recover stamina faster while you sit or lie on it. A hard one says so when you settle onto it. Padding, springs, and cloth make a piece softer.

pattern books

craft learn <book>

The advanced designs show in the menu as missing a pattern book. Study the book to learn the design. The book is not used up, so it can be lent or sold.

suites

A workbench menu has a Suites row. A suite builds several matching pieces in one go from what you carry.
