No Faces
Nobody really knows what a Morcant looks like. That is not a figure of speech. Once a Morcant comes of age, they give up their name and their face. They wear masks, or even faces that are not their own, and by design one Morcant cannot be told from another.
Death and Rumour
The city links them with death. There are strange rumours about the Coterie, the slum syndicate, and its ties to Morcant, since both like their masks. The other Houses keep Morcant at arm's length as weirdos and outcasts, and Morcants themselves tend to be antisocial. Talking to one often feels like talking to a role, not a person.
Beyond the connection with death, there is not much public knowledge about what Morcant actually does, or why it is a Great House at all.
Bastards of House Morcant take the surname Harrow.
