The Body Is a System
Mythos is the guild of bioengineering, gene-splicing, cyberware, and healthcare in general. Its patron is Saint Vael, remembered as the founder of medicine in Deshret. Full members carry the particle vae.
Mythos owns your body. Its view is simple: the human body is a system like any other, and systems can be optimised forever. Where medicine ends and playing god begins is a line Mythos and Sepulchre have fought over, and licensed over, for generations.
One Will, Three Bodies
At the head of Mythos is not a person but a dynasty: the Vesalius line. For as long as anyone remembers, the same genome has ruled the guild without a break, through three living incarnations at once. A child, next in line, is tutored and raised inside the guild. An adult in his prime is the CEO. An elder advises the adult. When the elder dies, the adult ages into his place, the child into the adult's, and a new child comes from the genome. One person and one will, governing across almost two centuries.
