In the game: help house qamarat Also qamarat
House Qamarat: owners of the crystals that power the city, the richest House, and very aware of it.
Every Lamp on Their Ledger
The Pneumatikon, the engine that powers Deshret, runs on crystals, a leftover of the catastrophe that ended the old world. Qamarat owns the lion's share of those crystals, mined and stored in their warehouses. No House can be said to govern Deshret, but Qamarat, as the richest, comes close. Every lamp in the city burns on their ledger. When the other Houses feast late into the night, they do it by Qamarat's light.
Born to Preside
Qamarat think they are the rightful rulers of everything the city has to offer, and they are as close to true aristocracy as it gets. Many have enormous egos and the unshakeable belief that they were born to preside over others. They tend to be assholes.
Unfortunately, they have the means to back it up. The other Houses, Great Houses included, tend to play nice with Qamarat because they have to.
Bastards of House Qamarat take the surname Sable.
